Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the current status, needs and problems of computer instruction for bachelor degree of business computer in private higher education institutions. The samples was 454 computer teachers and students in department of business computer from 10 private higher education institutions. This research used the questionnaire as a tool to collect thc data. The data was analyzedby using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research results indicated as fallow : I. The current status of computer instruction had been found that the most of private higher education institutions had 1-2 training laboratories and they had not setup unintermptiable power supply (UPS).The states of using computer for learning and teaching had 21-30 setswith one classroom. The most of computer hardwares being used in institutions were Pentium computer, Super VGA monitor and Dot Matrix printer. The most of equipments for teaching aids that computer teachersuszd in institutions were overhead, television monitor, microphone and whiteboard. As for the personnel, computer teachers are mostly used to get training activities. The computer software packages, which are used for learning were Visual Basic, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access,Microsoft Powerpoint and Windows 98. 2.The needs of computer instruction aspect viewed by computer teachers and students were computer teachers should be trained new technologies and teaching methods,improved content of subjects with modernization and catch up with the technologies. 3.Problems of computer instruction aspect viewed by computer teachersand students were inadequacy of computer hardwares.
