The evaluation of project for public and community plan-making in a fiscal year of 2014 : a case study of Soi Kor Pai community, Pattaya City, Chon Buri province
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the appropriateness of a project for public and community plan-making in a fiscal year of 2014 of Soi Kor Pai Community in four aspects. These included the aspects in relation to project context, input, process, and outcome. The population participating in this study was 129 people, comprising 9 working staff, 40 community committee, and 80 people. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire, asking people joining the project for public and community plan-making. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included percentage, means, and standard deviation. The results were as follows: Regarding the evaluation of context, the subjects rated the context-objective congruence at a high level. They also rated the appropriateness of input in terms of personnel, budget, and materials at a high level. In addition, they evaluated the appropriateness of process in relation to planning, publicizing, public participation, activities, problems and obstacles at a high level. Regarding the evaluation of project outcome, the subjects rated their level of satisfaction with the appropriateness of community plans and the achievement of community development plans at a high level. In all, the subjects participating in this project rated its appropriateness at a high level. These results would be used for project development in the next fiscal year.
