Abstract:
This research is a mixed method research of quantitative and qualitative
research which aimed to 1) study regulating recruitment of migrant workers and
sources of recruiting for Public and privat firms in Ubon Ratchathani 2) find tools of
recruiting and 3) determine the different of existing recruitment and selection
processes and approaches. Purposive sampling was used for depth interview of
sample group then, 43 relevant persons were selected from 21 organizations.
Moreover, the collected data were analyzed by ATLAS ti 5.0, an analytical software,
after that quantitative data were collected using a questionnaire by 134 copies. The
questionnaire elicits policies of recruitment and selection migrant workers and was
used to ask management team and relevant persons in those 21 firms. In order to
verify these quantitative data, the statistic tools which were used to analyze are
percentage, mean, S.D., tntest, and Fntest.
The research has found that
1. Qualitative method, it appears that sample group considered
policy and source of recruiting, policy and tools of selection are significant aspects.
2. Quantitative method, it can be divided into 2 major points as
follow.
2.1 The results show that generation and position in management
team of each studied organization are crucial aspects of their individual point of view
which concerns the importance of recruitment policy
2.2 Furthermore, gender, age, and job position are significant
aspects which result in the different in using tools of selection process.
