Abstract:
Purposes of the Study : 1.To study the opinions of school administrators and teachers concerning the readiness in the teaching of elective of elective subjects in pratom suksa five-six of elementary schools in srisaket province. 2. To compare the opinion of school administrators and teachers concerning the readiness in the teaching of elective subjects in pratom suksa five-six of elementary schools in srisaket province. 3. To compare the opinions of school administrators and teachers concerning the readiness of the teaching of elective subjects in pratom suksa five-six of elementary schools within the municipal area and those who are outside the municipal area in Srisaket province. Procedure: Sample of this study consisted of school administrators and teachers who were teaching in protom suksa five-six of elementary schools in Srisaket province during academic year 1982. The stratified random sampling technique was used to select the sample which were composed of 155 administrators and 307 teachers, totaling the sample to be 462 in numbers. The instrument used in this research were two questionnaires, one for administrators and the other teachers, which were constructed in forms of check list, test, rating-scale and open-ended. Out of 550 questionnaires sent out, 462 or 84.00 percent were completed and returned. Data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Z-test. Findings : Opinions of school administrators toward the readiness of teachers understanding in curriculum and materials, teaching and learning activities, and evaluation concerning the pratom suksa five-six Work Oriented Education English in elementary schools in sisaket province showed that the readiness was at the low level. The understanding of teachers themselves was also rated at the low level. Opinion of school administrators and teachers toward the readiness of teachers. Group and buildings, academic resources center, and learning materials concerning work oriented education showed that they both rated the readiness was at the low level and were not significantly different at the 0.05 level. Opinions of school administrators and teachers toward the readiness concerning English were also at the low level and were not significantly different at the 0.05 level. Opinions of school administrators of schools within the municipal area toward the readiness of teachers understanding in curriculum and materials and teaching and learning activities concerning work oriented education showed that the readiness was at the low level, but the opinions concerning the understanding of evaluation were at the high level. Concerning the English, the opinion showed that the readiness was at the low level. And the teachers understanding themselves in the schools within the municipal area was at the low level. Opinions of school administrators in the schools outside the municipal area toward the readiness of teachers understanding in curriculum and materials, teaching and learning activities, and evaluation concerning Oriented Work Education and English showed that the readiness was at the low level. The understanding of teachers within the municipal themselves was also rated at the low level. Opinions of school administrators and teachers within the municipal area and those outside the municipal area toward the readiness of teachers, ground and building and academic resources center and software-hardware and learning materials concerning Oriented Work Education showed that the readiness was at the low level. The opinion toward ground and building and academic resources center were significantly different at the 0.05 level, but those toward the readiness of the others were not significantly different. Opinions of administrators and teacher within the municipal area toward the readiness of teachers, ground and building and academic resources center and software-hardware and learning materials concerning English showed that the readiness was at the low level The opinions toward the readiness of teachers were not significantly different at the 0.05 level, but those toward the readiness of the others were significantly different at the 0.05 level.
