Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the competency of educational technology. The samples of the study consisted of 18 experts which were 12 educational technology professors and 6 administrators or foremen from public and private sectors. All samples were selected by using a purposive sampling technique. The data was analyzed to determine statistical values by using Median (Mdn), Mode (Mo), Interquartile (Q ) and the difference between Median and Mode. The results of the study were as follows : the competencies of educational techology were rated at the greatest level, which were composed of general knowledge such as innovative educational technology and National Education Act. Educational technology knowledge were systems approach in education, transmuting knowledge, administration and instructional design, environmental managemrnt, reserch and evaluation, and training. The skills were presentetion, utilization and instructional design. Additionally, working habits consisted of personal habits such as vision and creative thinking, and social habits such as team working, moral and ethics.
