Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study computer usage and problems of computer usage.The sampling groups consisted of 145 administrators of secondary schools in Education Area 12,Department of General Education. One hundred and sixteen administrators returned questionnairesas a percentage of 80. Data were analyzed by means of Percentage, Mean and Standard Division.The research findings revealed that most of administrators (x = 3.96) used the computer forfinancial and routine work which was at a high level of usage. The use of computer for academicand quality assurance purposes were also found as x = 3.84 which at a high level of usage too.The main problem of computer usage was a lack of budget for buying computer system bothhardware and software. The next problem was lack of person for supporting and developing thecomputer usage in the schools. Suggestions which the researcher found out showed that theadministrators want to allot the budget for buying computer system to support schools and formaintaining the computer system. Other suggestions showed that it had to train staff who wereinterested in computer and to provide position for those who would be person who support anddevelop the computer usage.
