Abstract:
The objectives of these descriptive research were to study the alcohol consumption behaviors in the community leaders, to study about predisposing factors, enabling factors and reinforcing factors associated with alcohol consumption behaviors, and to study health impact from alcohol consumption of community leaders in Mae Ka Sub-district, Muang District, Phayao Province. The 205 community leaders were selected by simple random sampling. The data were collected by questionnaires; alcohol consumption behaviors predisposing factors, enabling factors reinforcing factors and health impact. The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Chi-square test.
The results revealed that the most of samples were alcohol consumption behaviors in dangerous risk (72.2%), and beers was the most dinking (44.9%), Health impact from alcohol consumption were hypertension (12.7%) and diabetes mellitus (6.8%)
And showed that the factors were affected statistically significant with alcohol consumption behaviors at 0.01 level were sex (p-value = 0.006). and friends drinking (p-value < 0.001)
