Abstract:
This classroom-based research study is an investigationinto the effect of using feedback from the co-teacher toincrease the teachers awareness of her own teaching performance,and her attitudes towards the use of this technique.This study was carried out with 29 first year studentsmajoring in Chemistry, Faculty of Science , King MongkutsInstitute of Technology Thonburi. The teacher / researcherplayed a key role as the subject in this experiment.The study lasted for one semester. The data werecollected from the three evaluation checksheets used by the co-teacher,notes from the co-teacher, teachers diary andstudents questionnaire. The results of the investigation showed that the feedback from the co-teacher increased theteachers awareness of her teaching performance. Althoughproblems relating to the teachers skills still exist, thearithmatics means from the evaluation checksheets showedevidence of teaching improvement, the teacher/researchersattitudes towards the technique were very positive. Sheconsidered the technique as one valuable approach to help herhandle her teaching tasks in the learner-centred classroom more confidently.
