The Relationship between Administrative Skills and Academic Administrative Procedure of School Administrators under the Municipality in Three Southern Border Provinces
Abstract:
The purposes of this research are (1) to study the administration skills level of the school administrators, (2) to study the academic administration of the school administrators, (3) to compare the administration skills level of the school administrators, (4) to compare the academic administration of the school administrators, (5) to study the relationship between the administration skills and the academic administration of the school administrators, and (6) to study the problems and suggestions on the administration skills and the academic administration of the school administrators under the municipality in three southern border province. The samples are 53 school administrators and 261 teachers of basic education. The tool that was used in the research is the questionnaire. The reliability is .989. Statistical analysis packages included percentage, mean, standard Deviation, t-test, and f-test by using One-way analysis of variance (One-Way ONOVA),Scheffe, and correlation coefficients The results of
the research were as follows:
1. The overall results of administration skills of the school administrators of basic education, belong to municipality in three southern provinces is at a very high level.
2. The overall results of the level of academic administration of the school administrators of basic education, belong to municipality in three southern provinces is at a high level.
3. The overall comparison results of the administration skills level of the school administrators following by gender, degree, position, and working experiences is not different. However, working experiences are the different by the level of statistical significance 01.
4. The comparison results of the academic administration of the school administrators following by gender, degree, position, and working experiences; the gender and position made no difference but the degree and working experiences made differences by the level of statistical significance 001.
5. The overall relationship between the administration skills and the academic administration of the school administrators in the municipality in three southern border provinces are positively correlated by the level of statistical significance 01. The relation is at quite high level.
6. The results of analyzing the problems and suggestions on the administration skills and the academic administration of the school administrators under the municipality in three southern border provinces are the lack of planning in work and follow-up, lack of knowledge in the budget, lack of support and teaching materials, lack of justice, and lack of the school administrators assessment. The suggestions are that the school administrators should get training, the school administrators should assign clearly and effectively. The administration should support the learning and teaching, should create a good atmosphere in the workplace, and the school administrators should clearly define the objectives and scopes of works.
The results of analyzing problems and suggestions regarding academic administration of the school administrators of basic education under the municipality in three southern border provinces are that the school administrators too focused in academic administration, lack of follow-up in media production and lesson plans, lack of encouraging children to participate the activities that gain academic skills, lack of encouraging teachers to develop learning experiences, and lack of the evaluation process in a systematic and continuous feedback. The suggestions are that the administrations should encourage teachers to prepare the registration information to be current and comprehensive. The school administrators should set up the training in media production and preparation of lesson plans. The school administrators should provide remedial teaching system and track the results. The school administrators should encourage teachers to create learning activities regularly. Finally the school administrators should measure and evaluate the results continuously.
