Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the instructional problems of physical education in the elementary curriculum B.E. 2521 in Bangkok Metropolis Schools. [Questionnaires] were distributed to three teachers in each of the 210 Bangkok Metropolis Schools. The data were analyzed into percentages and means. It was found that: 1. Most of physical education teachers were unable to teach students to achieve the goal of learning rhythmic activity. 2. Major problems faced by most of physical education teachers regarding in contents activities as prescribed in the curriculum were: a) insufficient of equipment and facilities, b) unsuitable facilities related to curriculum content, c) unsuitable conditions of facilities for teaching, and d) the pupils had insufficient basic skill. 3. Major problems regarding test and evaluation as faced by most of physical education teachers were: a) method of test and evaluation were too difficult, b) tests constructed by school group were not in accordance with teaching contents, c) lack of test and evaluation [materials], and d) time for test administration were insufficient.
