Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to construct the instructional learning packages to use in learning center classroom, to test the efficiency of these packages and to study the learning achievement in Life Experiences Area, "Our Country" unit, of Prathom Suksa three students. The instructional packages consist of three topics, 1. Thailand: location, boundary, size and climate, 2. geography and 3. Population and government. The sample are 40 Prathom Suksa three students of Chulalongkom University Demonstration School (Elementary), academic year 1991. Their attitude toward the studying in the learning center classroom had also been asked. The experimental group were taught in the learning center classroom, using instructional packages and the controlled group was taught the same unit through ordinary classroom instruction, both by the researcher herself. The result can be concluded that the three sets of instructional packages gained the acceptable level, each yielding the results of 89.90 89.90/88.75, 94.15/88.00 and 94.40/91.00 respectively. In comparison of the average points of the students in the learning center classroom by using t-test, it was found that for the topic concerning Thailand: location, boundary size and climate and geography, the learning achievement of the students in the experimental group have the average score higher than the controlled group. But for the topic concerning population and government, however the achievement score of both group was found no different^ In regard to the students' attitude, it was found that 77.50 percent of the sample had the opinion that learning in the learning center was fun at the most satisfactory level
