Abstract:
Purposes of the study, The purposes of this study were to examine and compare the educational philosophy concepts of private kindergarten administrators in the Central Region, which were divided into 2 groups, those in Bangkok and other changwads. Procedures This research comprised a sample of 298 subjects, 252 private kindergarten administrators in Bangkok and 46 ones in other changwads. Hypothesis of this study was that their educational philosophy concepts were not different. The educa¬tional philosophy inventory was constructed to examine two educational philosophy concepts, Conservative and Liberal. Those two concepts were to be analyzed in 3 categories ; that is, educational aim, learning-teaching process and administration Obtained data were then analyzed in terms of frequency, percen¬tage, arithmetic means, standard deviation and t-test. Results 1. The private kindergarten administrators in the Central Region tended to have Liberal philosophy concept. Also, when analyzed categorically, it was found that they held Liberal philosophy concept in their educational aim, learning teaching process and administration. 2. When analyzed the Conservative and Liberal philosophy concepts successively, it was found that there were significant differences between the administrators in Bangkok and those in other chungwads at .01 level. In other words, the administrators in Bangkok tended to be more Conservative and yet more Liberal. 3. Categorically analyzed in term of educational aim, learning-teaching process and administration, it was found that among those who held Conservative philosophy concept, there were significant differences between the administrators in Bangkok and other changwads in every category. Among those who held Liberal philosophy concept, there were no significant differences in educational aim and learning-teaching process. However, in administration, the administrators in Bangkok tended to be significantly more Liberal.
