Abstract:
To study the effect of book talk on the circulation of books by Prathom 3 students in the Sam Sen School library in order to test the hypothesis of the effect of book talk that made the ratio of Prathom 3 students' book circulation significantly greater than previously. The population used in this research consisted of 4 classrooms of the students in Prathom 3 at this school. We divided population into two groups : 2 classrooms, 93 students, in the experimental group and the ether 2 classrooms, 92 students, in the control group. Twenty book titles were used in the research. The data of the ratio of book circula¬tion for the experimental group and the control group was recorded one month before and one month after the book talk experiment. In the research 20 determined book titles were book talked to the experimental group. The control group was n not given the book talk . The result of the research revealed that before the experiment the experimental group had a book circulation of 22 but after the experiment, the book circulation increased to 189, and the control group's book circulation rate was 24. Comparing the average difference of book circulation between the experimental group and the control group for the pre and post experiment, we can see that the experimental group had .an average difference of book circulation for pre and post experiment at the 99%s significant level, whereas, the control group had no average difference of book circulation for the pre and post experiment at the 99% significant.
