Abstract:
The purpose of this research were to 1) develop learner development activities that follow the philosophy of sufficiency economy so as to enhance the life adjustment skills of grade 10 students at an efficiency level of 80/80, 2) study the life adjustment skills after using the learner development activities following the philosophy of sufficiency economy and 3) evaluate the students satisfaction toward using the learner development activities relating to the philosophy of sufficiency economy in order to enhance life adjustment skills. The sample consisted of 30 students from grade 10 in the first semester of the 2014 academic year from Kabinwittaya school, Prachin Buri province in Secondary Educational Service Area Office 7. They were selected by cluster random sampling. The instruments used in this research were 1) the learner development activities following the philosophy of sufficiency economy to enhance life adjustment skills, 2) a life adjustment skills test, and 3) a satisfaction test concerning the use of the learner development activities following the philosophy of sufficiency economy. The statistical tools for data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation and a case study of 3 students was used to analyze the life adjustment skills. The research findings indicated that: 1. The efficiency of the learner development activities following the philosophy of sufficiency economy to enhance life adjustment skills of grade 10 students was at 82.57/84.22 which was higher than the set criterion of 80/80. The learner development activities were in accordance with the essence, expected results, contents, learning activities, materials for learning management and learning assessments considered suitable for student development in real instructional situations. 2. The life adjustment skills of the students after using the learner development activities following sufficiency economy were evaluated by the students themselves, by their peers and by their teachers. The results were all a high level. The 3 student case study showed that the students life adjustment skills were developed. 3. The students satisfaction towards the learner development activities following the philosophy of sufficiency economy to enhance life adjustment skills was at the highest level.
