Abstract:
This research aimed to study public attitudes towards good governance in Prommanee Administrative Organization, Muang district, Nakornnayok province. Samples of this study included 391 out of 18,350 people from 117 villages living in the area of Prommanee sub-district, Muang district, Nakhonnayok province by calculating the size of the group according to Yamanes formula. Questionnaire was used for collecting data. Statistics used in data analysis comprised frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and One-way ANOVA.
The results showed that: Most of the samples are male, aged 41-50 years old, had less than high school education, farmers earned less than 5,000 Baht/month. Mosts of people understood good governance at a high level. The study of public attitudes toward the SAO Prommanee governance principles applicable to the administration in both overall and each aspect were at a moderate level, as follows: the rule of law, the moral principles, the responsibility, the principle value, the principles involved, the transparency, respectively.
From hypotheses testing found that gender, age, education level, monthly income, and occupation had no influence on their attitude.
