Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the context of cultural tourism in Lampang province and 2) to study the opinion
of reputation, service quality, mass media, perception value, and satisfaction of cultural tourist attractions in Lampang province. This
research used mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative research. The sample and the main informants were 400 Thai tourists visited the cultural tourist attractions in Lampang province. The research tools used consisted of the questionnaire and the in-depth interview of twenty Thai tourists visiting the cultural tourist attractions in Lampang. Quantitative data were analyzed with descriptive statistics of frequency, percentage, and standard deviation. Inferential statistics were used to analyze the influence of
structural relationship and qualitative data were used to draw conclusion systematically. The finding were as follows: 1. For the context of cultural tourism in Lampang province, cultural highlights included architecture and historical evidence. Moreover, the culture still appears in the way of life of the Lampang people. It is a beautiful identity of the province. Traveling style is a kind of travelling in
a group and family who traveled at least 2 times a year. Travel information from the Internet was taken and travel is convenient. Good services needed by the tourists were provided. The tourists get to visit the attractions more and more. 2. The reputation of cultural tourism makes visitors satisfied with the value in recognition of cultural tourism and the quality of service needed by the visitors. The services included location, parking, and staff services. These are the starting points to satisfy tourists. Today is the age of communication that is fast and easily accessible with many channels of communication. This will affect cultural tourism and make the tourists aware of the value of cultural awareness, and the accuracy of information or art forms that have been modified by age and
time. These make the tourists satisfied and affect the effective communication for inviting them to return to Lampang province.
