The Development of Synectics Instructional Model Combined with Play and Learn Instructional Model to Enhance Creative Writing Skill of Prathomsuksa 5 Students
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop the Synectics Instructional Model combined with Play and Learn Instructional Model to enhance creative writing skill of Prathomsuksa 5 Students and 2) to compare the students learning achievement between before and after using the aforementioned instructional model. The research methods were divided into four stages: 1) a study of previous studies and literature review 2) development of instructional model 3) the implementation of the model and 4) assessment of the model. The sample group included twenty-two of Prathomsuksa 5 Students in the 2nd semester of academic year 2014 obtained through cluster random sampling. The research instruments involved lesson plans and achievement test in four aspects, i.e., fluency, originality, and flexibility. Data were statistically analyzed in MEAN, standard deviation, Dispersion Coefficient, and t-test.
The findings revealed as follows.
1. The components of the Synectics Instructional Model combined with Play and Learn Instructional Model delineated 1) principle 2) objectives 3) learning activities and 4) learning outcomes.
2. The students writing skill after learning through the developed Synectics Instructional Model combined with Play and Learn Instructional Model was higher than that before the experiment at significance level .01.
