Abstract: การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงความเพียงพอของหนังสือ และการใช้หนังสือในห้องสมุดวิทยาลัยครูบุรีรัมย์ โดยศึกษาจากความคิดเห็นของอาจารย์ผู้สอนในด้านปริมาณ คุณภาพ และความทันสมัยของหนังสือ ศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการใช้และปัญหาการใช้หนังสือในห้องสมุดของนักศึกษา ตลอดจนสำรวจสถิติจำนวนหนังสือ การยืมหนังสือ ค่าหน่วยกิตตามรายวิชาในหลักสูตรโดยใช้ Chi-square เพื่อพิจารณาความสัมพันธ์ของหนังสือ หลักสูตร และการใช้ ผลการวิจัยพบว่าหนังสือส่วนมากในห้องสมุดยังไม่สอดคล้องกับหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนและยังไม่เพียงพอต่อความต้องการของผู้ใช้ ทั้งด้านปริมาณ คุณภาพและความทันสมัย ผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้จึงเป็นแนวทางในการพิจารณาปรับปรุงห้องสมุดในเรื่องนโยบายการจัดหา และการพัฒนาทรัพย์กรห้องสมุด เพื่อสนองตอบความต้องการของผู้ใช้

Abstract: The objective of this research was to study the adequacy of book collection and book use in Burirum Teachers'; College Library. A questionnaire related to the teachers opinions about the quantity, quality and currency of books and student opinions about their use and problems. Compiling statistics of book collection, circulation and credits of subject course in curriculum. Analyzed the data by using Chi-square to determine the relations between book collection, curriculum and book use. The results of this research was that most of books in the library had not related to the curriculum and were not adequate for user needs. When the ages of the books were studied, they were found to be not up to date enough. The results of this research, therefore, provided a mean for consideration of improving the library in respect policy and development of adequate and up to date resources to meet the user needs.
