Comprehension between individual interest and public interest and establishment of good organization governance, a case study of pak kred city municipality
Abstract:
This research study attempts 1) to study demographic factors affecting establishing of
good organization governance of Pak Kred City Municipality; 2) to study the relationship
between the comprehension in individual interest and public interest as well as the establishment
of good organization governance of Pak Kred City Municipality. The subjects in this study were
130 officers in Pak Kred City Municipality. The research instruments were questionnaires
comprising of demographic factors, the comprehension in individual interest and public interest,
and the establishment of good organization governance. SPSS software program was utilized to
analyze the basic statistics and the hypothesis was tested using correlation analysis.
The findings reveal that officers comprehended that individual interest and public
interest contributing to establish good organization governance in the aspects of parties in
contracts with government institutes, partners or shareholders in partnership or company, taking
concession, or holding government concession and being stakeholders in private business were at
the high level. Officers concentrated on establishing good organization governance in the aspects
of Accountability, Transparency, Participation, Rule of Laws, and Ethics at the high level.
Demographic factors contributing to establish good organization governance of Pak Kred City
Municipality with no difference in all sub-factors. Comprehension factors about parties in the
contracts with government, being partners or shareholders in partnership or company, taking
concession, or holding government concession and being stakeholders in private business did not
correlate with the establishment of good organization governance of Pak Kred City Municipality.
