Abstract:
This study was to compare the learning achievement of Prathom Suksa Three blind students through documentary audio tape with and without sound effects. The subjects were twenty-eight prathom suksa three blind students of Bangkok School for the Blind and Chiangmai School for the Blind. They were divided into two groups (14 each) by the students learning achievement in Thai subject in the academic year of 1987. The materials used in this study were four documentary audio tapes with and without sound effects. At the first step, each experimental group took a pre-test. One of the experimental groups was randomly assigned to listen to documentary audio tape with sound effects. The other was, then, assigned to listen to the documentary audio tape without sound effects. After that, a post test was administered. The gain scores were analized by means of t test. The result of the study indicated that there was no statistically significant difference between the subjects studied through the documentary audio tape with and without sound effects at the level of 0.05.
