Abstract:
The present study aims to examine the effects of demographic factors on the behavior
of customers of a veterinary clinic in Klaeng District, Rayong Province, to investigate the
relationship between demographic factors and the satisfaction of customers of a veterinary clinic
in Klaeng District, Rayong Province, and to examine the relationship between behavior of
customers and the satisfaction of customers of a veterinary clinic in Klaeng District, Rayong
Province. This is a mixed-method research. The findings showed that most respondents were
female (56.6%) who were 20-30 years old (29.4%). They reported holding bachelor degree
(33.8%) and worked as employees of companies (28.0%). They reported earning 15,001-20,000
baht monthly (30.1%) and they were married (47.1%).
The hypothesis testing results revealed that there was a relationship between
demographic factors and behavior of customers of a veterinary clinic in Klaeng District, Rayong
Province. With different demographic factors, i.e. age and gender, the satisfaction of customers of
a veterinary clinic in Klaeng District, Rayong Province was different. In addition, different
behavior had no effect on the satisfaction of customers of a veterinary clinic in Klaeng District,
Rayong Province.
The results from interview showed that ideal veterinary clinic of customers of a
veterinary clinic in Klaeng District, Rayong Province suggested that the clinic should be clean
and have good zoning, e.g. emergency room, treatment room, etc. Queuing should be arranged
well. All animals should be able to get treatment. Good and fast services should be provided with
the focus on customer's satisfaction. Good characteristics of the clinic were proficient vet, fast
services, appropriate queuing, and reasonable pays. What the clinic should improve were parking
lots, waiting area, and new technology.
