Abstract:
The objective of the research is to construct and develop a performance test in home economics, HE022 Food 2, for teachers to use in the summative evaluation of M.S. 3 students in the Public Secondary School in Bangkok. This performance test was constructed from the analysis of HE022 Food 2,s curriculum and the interview of expertises. It was tried out and tested with 157 students. The result of the research are as follows: 1. The performance test consists of 1) The learning achievement subtest, 2) The group behavior evaluative form, and 3) The food product evaluative form. Total time usage in the test is 135 minutes. Total marks are 100 marks. The details of each subtest are listed below. 1.1 The learning achievement subtest is the 30 multiple choices with 4 choices for each item. Total time usage in the subtest is 30 minutes. The mean is 16.255 which it S.D. 5.969 average item difficulty is .5418. Average item discrimination index is .4206. Reliability coefficient is .8418 which its S.E.M. is 2.3741 and it has content validity. 1.2 The group behavior evaluative form consists of 10 checklist items which evaluates 6 behaviors. Total time usage in the subtest is 100 minutes per groups. Total marks are 50 marks. The mean is 41.565 which its S.D. is 9.811. Average item popularity is .8313. Average discrimination index is .4553. Reliability coefficient is .7887 which its S.E.M. is 4.5098 and it has construct validity. 1.3 The food product evaluative form consists of 10 checklist items which evaluates 5 major criterions. Total tim usage in the subtest is 5 minutes per groups. Total marks are 20 marks. The mean is 16.958 which its S.D. is 4.872. Average item popularity is .8479. Average discrimination index is .7588. Reliability coefficient is .9051 which its S.E.M. is 1.5008 and it has construct validity. 2. There is a relation between each pair of subtests. The relation between the group behavior evaluative form and the food product evaluative form is the biggest.
