Abstract:
Policy Evaluation of Satun Provincial
Administrative Organization was conducted
to assess working process, products and
outcomes. The qualitative and quantitative
methods were employed through purposive
sampling of 45 projects with a sample of a
population of 700. The results were shown
as follows. 1) In terms of evaluation of working
process, the policy was transformed to
strategies and projects in accordance with
government regulations. The problems
arising from the evaluation were deconstruction
of rigid frames of thoughts, focusing only on
solving the problems concerning local politics
and elections and the delay budgeting.
2) For products, the policies were
transformed to planned projects as per the
policy identified, accounting for 100 per cent
of the 2010-2012 budget. The percentages
of complete projects have been 86.1, 68.5
and 86.1, respectively. 3) For outcomes in
terms of peoples satisfaction and opinions
towards achieving the objectives, it was
found that their responses regarding 9 aspects
of policies were at a high level.
