Abstract: งานวิจัยเรื่องนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นหรือภาพที่เกิดขึ้นในใจ ของนักท่องเที่ยวตามคำขวัญของจังหวัดอีสานใต้ คือ นครราชสีมา บุรีรัมย์ สุรินทร์ ศรีษะเกษ อุบลราชธานี และชัยภูมิ เลือกอำเภอที่มีแหล่งท่องเที่ยวและมีนักท่องเที่ยว มากที่สุด จังหวัดนครราชสีมา คือ อำเภอปากช่อง มีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว คืออุทยานแห่ง ชาติเขาใหญ่ จังหวัด ได้แก่ บุรีรัมย์ คือ อำเภอเฉลิมพระเกียรติ มีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว คือปราสาทเขาพนมรุ้ง ปราสาทเมืองตํ่า จังหวัดสุรินทร์คืออำเภอเมือง มีสถานที่ท่อง เที่ยวคือหมู่บ้านช้าง หมู่บ้านทอผ้าไหมบ้านท่าสว่าง จังหวัดศรีษะเกษ คือ อำเภอ กันทราลักษ์ มีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวคือเขาพระวิหาร ผามออีแดง จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี คืออำเภอโขงเจียม มีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวคืออุทยานแห่งชาติผาแต้ม จังหวัดชัยภูมิคือ อำเภอเทพสถิตย์ มีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว คือ อุทยานแห่งชาติป่าหินงาม ทุ่งดอกกระเจียว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นักท่องเที่ยวมาเที่ยวจังหวัดอีสานใต้แบ่งเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ ท่องเที่ยว จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ สุรินทร์ ศรีสะเกษ เพราะสนใจศึกษาศิลปวัฒนธรรม นักท่องเทียว ที่มาจังหวัดนครราชสีมา อุบลราชธานี และชัยภูมิ เพราะสนใจศึกษาธรรมชาติและ สิ่งแวดล้อม จุดเด่นจังหวัดอีสานใต้ด้านโบราณสถานโบราณวัตถุหรือศิลปวัฒนธรรม ขอมโบราณ ประทับใจความมีนํ้าใจและความมีอัธยาศัยดีของคนภาคอีสาน นักท่อง เที่ยวต้องการได้รับความสะดวกสบายในการเดินทางจากรถโดยสารประจำทางหรือ บริการสาธารณะจากภาครัฐ การเดินทางเป็นไปตามความคาดหวัง ค่าใช้จ่ายไม่สูงการเชื่อมโยงภาพลักษณ์การท่องเที่ยวกลุ่มจังหวัด อีสานใต้กับประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน ควรพัฒนาเส้น ทางการท่องเที่ยววัฒนธรรมขอมให้เป็นรูปธรรม กำหนดให้เป็นยุทธศาสตร์ด้านการท่องเที่ยวที่ ชัดเจน มีการจัดกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยววัฒนธรรม ขอมอย่างต่อเนื่อง

Abstract: The purposes of this study were to study the opinions or images developing in the tourist’s minds about current tourism in the lower Northeastern part of Thailand accordingly to the motto of each province ; and to explore means of linking the images to the neighboring countries. The research area included 6 provinces. The districts were chosen because of their tourist attractions and the greatest number of tourists : Pakchong District of Nakhonratchasima has Khaoyai National Park, Chaloemphrakiat District of Buriram has Phanomrung Sanctuary and Mueangtam Sanctuary, Mueang District of Surin has Elephant Village and silk weaving at Thasawang Village, Kantharalak District of Sisaket has Khao Prawihan Sanctuary and Mo-Edeang Cliff, KhongChiam District of Ubonratchatani has Phataem Cliff National Park, and Thepsathit District of Chaiyaphum has beautiful Stones National Park and Tung Krachiew. The researchers found that the tourists came to visit Buriram, Surin, and Sisaket because they were interested in ancient objects and the best point of these areas was art and culture. The outstanding point of Nakhonratchasima, Ubonratchatani, and Chaiyaphum was natural attractions and environment. The tourists gave points of view about the second question that the ancient places and objects or the art and culture of ancient Khom were distinguished. They were impressed by the exceptional hospitality of the people here. The tourists would like public services from the government sections. The tourist attractions have clean restrooms, hygienic restaurants. To link the tourism images with the neighboring countries, the government should develop the rout of tourism about Khom culture, and proposed the clear strategies and organize tourism activities continuously.
