Abstract: อักษรเบรลล์ เป็นภาษาการสื่อสารที่จา เป็นของผู้พกพร่องทางการมองเห็น ซึ่งปัจจุบันยังมีสื่อการสอนเกี่ยวกับอักษรเบรลล์อยู่ในวงจากัดหรือภายในโรงเรียนสอนคนตาบอดโดยเฉพาะเท่านั้นซึ่งวัตถุประสงค์ของการศึกษาในครั้งนี้เพื่อศึกษาการรับรู้ในสัมผัสโดยเฉพาะการสัมผัสทางกายเพื่อนาข้อมูลมาใช้ในการออกแบบอุปกรณ์สาหรับกระบวนการเรียนรู้อักษรเบรลล์ (Braille)ของผู้บกพร่องทางสายตาซึ่งเป็นสื่อที่สาคัญที่ใช้ในการสื่อสารของผู้พิการทางสายตาให้มีความง่ายขึ้นซึ่งกา หนดประชากรกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือผู้พิการทางการมองเห็น ที่เริ่มเรียนรู้อักษรเบรลล์อายุตั้งแต่อายุ 5-30 ปี โดยใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์และการสังเกตุพฤติกรรมการเรียนและการอ่านเขียนอักษรเบรลล์ และรวบรวมข้อมูลข้อปัญหาเพื่อนามาออกแบบและแก้ไขปัญหานั้นโดยใช้หลักการออกแบบที่คำนึงถึงความสาคัญของผู้ใช้นา มาเป็นหลักในการออกแบบสื่อการสอนสาหรับการเรียนรู้ อักษรเบรลล์ (Braille) ซึ่งอุปกรณ์ดั้งเดิมมีข้อจา กัดในการใช้ของผู้บกพร่องทางการมองเห็นที่เริ่มเรียนรู้อักษรเบรลล์และผู้สอน ในงานวิจัยนี้ได้ออกแบบอุปกรณ์การเรียนรู้เป็ นชุดการสอน (Instruction Media) ซึ่งชุดการสอนนี้สามารถประกอบตัวอักษรเบรลล์ได้ทีละตัว (Cell Alphabet) โดยการสร้างจุดนูนในแต่ละตัวอักษรประกอบเป็นคา ศัพท์และประโยคได้ซึ่งผลการศึกษาพบว่าใช้ได้ดีสาหรับผู้บกพร่องทางสายตาที่เริ่มเรียนรู้อักษรเบรลล์นอกจากนั้นยังใช้เป็นเครื่องมือการสอนอักษรเบรลล์สาหรับบุคคลทั่วไปที่สามารถใช้เรียนรู้อักษรเบรลล์เพื่อนา ไปสอนผู้บกพร่องทางการมองเห็นด้วยตนเองได้ด้วย
