Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) study the level of readiness for change of Business Administration academic staffs in Rajamangala universities toward entering the ASEAN Economics Community 2) examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and readiness for change of academic staffs 3) explore the relationship between leadership behavior and readiness for change of academics staffs and 4) investigate the relationship between organizational commitment of academics staffs and readiness for change.
The samples were 160 academics staffs from the Faculty of Business Administration including Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi (RMUTSB) and Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK). Questionnaire was the main research instrument. Data were analyzed by Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, F-test and Pearson Correlation.
The results showed that the emotional intelligence, perceived transformational and transactional leadership behavior, organizational commitment and readiness for change of Rajamangala universitiess academic staffs were at high levels. The result of hypothesis testing showed that academics positions affected the readiness for change of academic staffs with statistically significant difference at 0.05. Moreover, it was found that emotional intelligence correlated with the readiness for change of academic staffs at a moderate level. Perceived transformational and transactional leadership behaviors were highly correlated with the readiness for change of academic staffs. Organizational commitment correlated with the readiness for change of academic staffs at a high level.
