Abstract:
The research aimed to 1) compare the students achievement in Fundamental Physics on
Nuclear Power by integrating 4 MATs learning with concept mapping for Mathayomsuksa 4
students before and after studying, 2) compare the students achievement in Fundamental Physics
on Nuclear Power by traditional learning method for Mathayomsuksa 4 students before and after
studying, 3) compare the students achievement in Fundamental Physics on Nuclear Power for
Mathayomsuksa 4 students after studying between two groups: a group of 4 MATs learning with
concept mapping, and a group of traditional learning method.
Samples were 100 Mathayomsuksa 4 students studying in Mathematics-English program
in the second semester of academic year 2015, Suankularb Wittayalai Nonthaburi School, Nonthaburi
province. The samples were chosen by cluster random sampling and classifie d into 2 groups
equally: experimental group and control group. The research instruments were 8 lesson plans based
on 4 MATs with concept mapping on Nuclear Power, and pretest and posttest. The descriptive
statistics included Mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test were used for data analysis.
The findings were as follows: 1) the students achievement in Fundamental Physics by
integrating 4 MATs learning with concept mapping indicated that the posttest scores were higher
than the pretest scores at statistically significant difference 0.05. 2) The achievement in
Fundamental Physics by traditional learning method indicated that the posttest scores were higher
than the pretest score at statistically significant difference 0.05. 3) The achievement in Fundamental
Physics by integrating 4 MATs learning with concept mapping was higher than the traditional
learning method at statistically significant difference 0.05.
