Abstract:
The study in The Image of "Chalermrajakumari" Public Library in Lat Lum Kaeo Subdistrict in people view has an objective of studying the perception in the image of "Chalermrajakumari" public library in Lat Lum Kaeo subdistrict of the library current service users, and studying what the users want in the future. In addition, this research will study the opinion in 5 factors supporting the image of "Chalermrajakumari" public library in Lat Lum Kaeo subdistrict which are the library policy and operation, personnel, service, information resource, and building. This research is the survey research in which the research sample is 400 people using the Chalermrajakumari public library service. Questionnaires are used as a tools to collect data. Descriptive Statistics is used to analyze the collected data.
The research found that
1) The research sample mostly receives the library service information from the information board in front of the library with the frequency of 2-3 times a week. Next is from the internet with the frequency of at least 4 times a week. The least source of information is from television roughly once a week.
2) The research sample perception in the 5 factors of the library image is at the high level in general in which the highest average is the building. Next are personnel, service, and policy and operation, respectively while information resource has the lowest perception on average. 3) The research sample demands for the 5 factors of the library image they want in the future at the high level on average. What they want the most is the information resource. Then are the policy and operation, and the building, respectively whereas the personnel and the service are the least in demand and on average, respectively.
4) The research samples opinion about the factors supporting the library image is at a high level on average. The factor having the highest average is the policy and operation. Next are the building, the service, and the information resource, respectively while the personnel has the lowest score on average.
