Opinions of instructors, students and entrepreneurs concerning for the development of visual communication design course in fine arts program at the bachelor degree level, Rajabhat Institute
Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the opinions of instructors, students and entrepreneurs concerning for the development of visual communication design course in fine arts program at the bachelor degree level, Rajabhat Institute in the aspects of objective, course content, Instructional organization, and evaluation. The population used in this research was 12 instructors in communication design course of higher education institution, 193 students studying in communication design course, and 12 entrepreneurs. The research instruments were interview schedule and questionaure. Data were analyzed by mean of percentage, arithmetic means and standard deviation. It was found that in the part of the objective of the communication design course1, instructors, entrepreneurs and students had the following opinions respectively: it should be emphasized on the operation of the design for communication, creative thinking and suitable for the occupation. In the communication course 2, instructors and entrepreneurs had the opinions that it should be emphasized the creative thinking while students thought that it should be emphasized on the suitable for occupation. In the part of the content of the communication design course 1, instructors, entrepreneurs and students had the following opinions respectively: it should be emphasized on the content of the background, evaluation, the process of communication design in any part computer graphic and the content should be suitable for the current situation. In the communication design course 2, it should be emphasized on the operation of symbol and logo design and the content of computer graphic and the whole course content should be suitable for the current situation. In the part of instructional organization of the communication design course 1, instructors, entrepreneurs and students had the following opinions respectively: the example of teaching method should be used. It should had the real performance practice for the performance in the real world. The new teaching teachnique should be used. In the communication design course2, instructors, entrepreneurs and students had the following opinions respectively: instructors should always arouse the students s creative thinking. They should use the certain teaching method for the performance in the real world and the new teaching teachnique should be used. In the part of evaluation of the communication design course 1, instructors, entrepreneurs and students had the following opinions respectively: it should be evaluation from the working product, working process and creative thinking. In the communication design course 2, instructors, entrepreneurs and students had the following opinions respectively: it should be evaluation from the working product, working process and the creative thinking.
