Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to examine the factors impacting operational
effectiveness and sustainability of the cooperative education programme in educational
institutions and workplaces. Data was collected from 49 managers in the cooperative
education programme and 224 human resource department managers by questionnaires.
The statistic methods used to analyze the data included frequency, percentage,
mean, standard deviation, multiple correlation and multiple regression. The result
showed that: 1) all factors had an impact on work effectiveness and sustainability of the
cooperative education programme in aspect of the educational institution as well as
workplace rated as high in the overall agreement 2) the roles of job advisor academic
and job supervisor in aspect of educational institution and the monitoring evaluation
and feedback in aspect of workplace had high positive relationship with work
effectiveness and sustainability of cooperative education progamme 3) Co-op mission
knowledgement, stakeholders cooperation, monitoring evaluation and feedback
in aspect of workplace had positive effect on operational effectiveness and sustainability
of the cooperative education programme.
