Selected variables affecting the learning dynamics characteristics of teachers in learning process reform leading schools under the Office of the National Primary Education Commission
Abstract:
The purpose of this research were 1) to study the learning dynamics characteristics of the teachers in learning reform leading schools under the jurisdiction of the office of the national primary education commission 2) to study the relationship between the characteristics of teachers in learning reform leading schools and three categories of selected variable : personal characteristics, work environment and job satisfaction and 3) to identify predictor variables affecting the learning dynamics characteristics of teachers in learning reform leading schools. The samples consisted of 2,299 teachers in learning reform leading schools. The finding revealed that : 1.) Teachers in learning reform leading schools rated their own learning dynamics characteristics as high. The first three high rated characteristics were (1) teachers be able to work in collaboration make school in progress (2) teachers active and have interests in acquiring new knowledge in order to develop instruction and (3) teachers need to obtain extra study. 2.) There were statistically significant positive relationships at .05 level between the learning dynamics characteristics and 71 selected variables. The first three characteristics were 1) administrators offered a chance for teachers to create new teaching methods 2) students were key factors for teachers to develop instruction and 3) school activities supported teacher to work with other. There were statistically significant negative relationships at .05 level between the learning dynamics characteristics and 11 variables. The two variables were (1) autocratic leader and (2) field of teaching : Thai language and character development area. 3.) In multiple regression analysis at .05 level with enter method, there were 44 predictor variables that affected learning dynamics characteristics. These 44 predictor variables together were account for 73.8% of the variance. 4.) In multiple regression analysis at .05 level with Stepwise method, there were 47 predictor variables that affected learning dynamics characteristics. These 47 predictor variables together were able to account for 73.3% of the variance.
