Abstract: ศึกษาถึงพัฒนาการของสถาปัตยกรรมพระอุโบสถสกุล ช่างอยุธยา ทั้งนี้ยังศึกษาถึงลักษณะทางศิลปอื่นที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับพระอุโบสถ โดยมีขอบเขตการศึกษาอยู่ในเขตพื้นที่ภาคกลาง โดยมีจำนวนวัดที่อยู่ในสภาพสมบูรณ์ที่คัดเลือกมาศึกษาจำนวน 26 วัด และวัดที่เป็นซากโบราณสถานอีกจำนวนหนึ่ง วิธีวิจัยเน้นการสำรวจข้อมูลภาคสนามและข้อมูลทางด้านเอกสาร ทั้งที่เป็นข้อมูลปฐมภูมิและข้อมูลทุติยภูมิ โดยศึกษาวิเคราะห์ด้วยวิธีเชิงคุณภาพตามหลักพื้นฐานทางสถาปัตยกรรม และได้เสนอแนะแนวทาง การออกแบบพระอุโบสถ วัดธรรมิกราช จังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา เป็นกรณีศึกษา ผลการวิจัยแบ่งเป็นภาคข้อมูลและภาคการออกแบบ โดยภาคข้อมูล (เฉพาะเรื่องรูปแบบพระอุโบสถ) สามารถสรุปลักษณะทางสถาปัตยกรรมรูปทรงตามยุคสมัยดังนี้ สมัยอยุธยายุคต้น (สมัยพระเจ้าอู่ทอง-สมเด็จพระไชยราชา พ.ศ. 1893-2089 รวมระยะเวลา 196 ปี) จำแนกลักษณะรูปแบบพระอุโบสถได้ 2 ลักษณะ คือ 1. รูปทรงมุขโถง หลังคาจั่วกันสาดและหลังคาจั่วเปิด 2. รูปทรงมุขเด็จ โดยมีองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญคือ ส่วนฐาน นิยมทำ ฐานปัทม์ (ไม่ตกท้องสำเภา) ส่วนเรือน เสานิยมทำเป็นเสาหน้าตัดแปดเหลี่ยมหรือเสากลมโดยมีบัวหัวเสาเป็นบัวโถ คันทวยมี ลักษณะหยักลูกคลื่น ช่องเปิดด้านข้างนิยม ทำแบบช่องแสง ส่วนยอด หน้าบันจำหลักเป็นรูปเทพหรือยักษ์ไม่นิยมทำลวดลาย สมัยอยุธยายุคกลาง (สมัยพระยอดฟ้า-สมเด็จพระศรีสุธรรมราชา พ.ศ. 2089-2199 รวมระยะเวลา 110 ปี) จำแนกลักษณะรูปแบบพระอุโบสถได้ 4 ลักษณะคือ 1. รูปทรงมุขโถงหลังคาจั่วเปิด 2.รูปทรงทรงโรงหลังคาจั่วเปิด (ทรงคฤห์) 3.รูปทรงจั่นหับ (ด้านหน้า-ด้านหลัง) 4. รูปทรงหลังคามุขประเจิด โดยมีองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญคือ ส่วนฐาน ยังคงลักษณะรูปแบบฐานปัทม์ และเริ่มทำฐานตกท้องสำเภาในช่วงปลาย ส่วนเรือน เสาหน้าตัดเริ่มทำเสา สี่เหลี่ยมย่อมุม บัวหัวเสาแบบบัวจงกล ช่องเปิดด้านข้างเริ่มทำช่องเปิดแบบบานหน้าต่าง ส่วนยอด หน้าบันไม้จำหลักลวดลายกนกก้านขดและหน้าบันแบบเครื่องก่อประดับถ้วยชามจีน สมัยอยุธยายุคปลาย (สมัยสมเด็จพระนารายณ์-พระเจ้าเอกทัศน์ พ.ศ. 2199-2310 รวมระยะเวลา 111 ปี ) จำแนกลักษณะรูปแบบพระอุโบสถได้ 5 ลักษณะคือ 1. รูปทรงมุขเด็จ 2. รูปทรงมุขโถง หลังคาจั่วเปิด 3. รูปทรงมุขโถงหลังคาจั่วกันสาด 4. รูปทรงจั่นหับ ซึ่งแบ่งย่อยได้ 2 ลักษณะคือทรงวิลันดาและทรงคฤห์ 5. ทรงโรงแบ่งย่อยออกได้ 2 ลักษณะคือ ทรงวิลันดา และทรงคฤห์ โดยมีองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญคือ ส่วนฐาน มีลักษณะแบบฐานปัทม์แบบตกท้องสำเภา และมีการทำฐานสิงห์ ส่วนเรือน เสาหน้าตัดสี่เหลี่ยมย่อมุมบัวหัวเสาแบบบัวจงกล ช่องเปิดด้านข้างทำช่องเปิดแบบบานหน้าต่าง มีการตกแต่งซุ้มช่องเปิด ส่วนยอดหน้าบันไม้จำหลักลวดลายละเอียดมากขึ้น และหน้าบันเครื่องก่อมีอิทธิพลศิลปะต่างชาติเข้ามาผสมผสาน ภาคการออกแบบและวางผังสรุปได้ว่าวัดธรรมิกราช เป็นวัดที่มีรูปแบบสถาปัตยกรรมแบบอยุธยายุคต้น (ซึ่งมีอิทธิพลศิลปะอโยธยา) ถึงสมัยอยุธยายุคกลาง ดังนั้นกรอบแนวความคิดในการออกแบบต่างๆ จึงสามารถเชื่อมโยงกับรูปแบบศิลปะอยุธยาในช่วงระยะเวลาดังกล่าว โดยมีขอบเขตของงานออกแบบคือ 1.ออกแบบพระอุโบสถหลังใหม่ (รวมถึงอาคารบริวารซึ่งอยู่ในเขตพุทธาวาส) 2. ออกแบบปรับปรุงผังบริเวณ ภายใต้บริบทในสภาพปัจจุบัน อย่างไรก็ตามเนื้อหาภาคข้อมูลและภาคการออกแบบ สามารถใช้เป็นข้อมูลอ้างอิงทั้งในเรื่องของรูปแบบและประวัติศาสตร์ สถาปัตยกรรม ตลอดจนศิลปะอื่นที่มีความเกี่ยวเนื่องกับพระอุโบสถ เพื่อใช้เป็นแนวทางในการออกแบบพระอุโบสถสกุลช่างอยุธยาที่ถูกต้องเหมาะสม อันเป็นการสืบสานมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมไทยให้ยั่งยืนสืบไป

Abstract: To study about the development of Thai architecture, Ayutthaya style Buddhist Temple. Including study about the character of other arts which is about the Buddhist temple. I choice the 26 perfect temples and come of the ancient places in the middle of Thailand. The Method of this research focuses on the details of documents and activities., both primary and secondary details by analyzing the quality of the basic architecture and offering the design Guidelines for Ayutthaya style Buddhist temple at wat thommikkarat, it's the case study of the research which divide in the part of detail and design. Era of Early Ayutthaya (king U-tong and king Chairacha in the year 1893-2089. Period of time is 196 years). The temples were devided in 2 shapes 1. Muk-Thong ; Gun sard triangular end of a roof and opening triangular end of a roof 2. Muk-Dej ; the important part is a base and the popular one is "Patm" base, the body : the popular pillars are on octagon pillan and a round pillar. The top of the pillar is Bua-Tho, Kuntauy is wavy, the opening hole is chong saeng and the top is an ogre or a god Era of middle Ayutthaya (King Yord-Fah, King Sri-Su-Tam-Ma-Ra-Cha in a year 2089-2193. The period of time 110 years) The buddhist temples were divided in 4 shapes 1 Muk-Thong the opening triangle end of roof 2 round the opening triangle end of roof 3.j Chun-Hub (front -back) 4. Muk-Pracherd roof, the important part is a base which is called "Patm" the house; the square pillar was abridge, the top of pillar is like Bua-Chong-Klon, the aside hole was opened lime a window. The top; the wood's surface is a golden decorative design which was decorated with the Chinese bowls. Era of terminal Ayutthaya (king Narhai-King Eakatad in a year 2199-2310. Period of time is 111 years. The buddhist temple were divided in shapes 1. Muk-Dej 2. Muk-Thong, the opening triangle end of roof 3.Muk - Thong, Gunsard triangle end of room. 4. Chun-hub, which was divided in 2 shapes, there are wilanda and kreau 5 roang, was devided in 2 shapes, there're wilanda and kreau. Its important part is bases which are called "Patm" and "Singh" The house; the square pillar's abridged the corner Bua-Hua-Sao like Bua-Chong Kol, the aside hole was opened like a window with some decorations at the opening archway. The top; the wood' s surface has got more detail and Nha Ban Kreaung Kor had been influenced about design and plan layout by the other countries. The result; wat thammikkarat's form is quite era of terminal Ayutthaya (Accepted from the art of Ayothaya, to era of middle Ayutthaya, so the method of design links to these art's forms. The defination are ; 1 design the new Buddhist temple including the building in the area 2.design to improve the surroundings at this moment however, the details of document and design refer both of form and history of architecture as well as the other arts which are about the Buddhist temple to be the guidelines for designing the Buddhist temple of people in Ayutthaya suitably and to continue the Thai culture forever.
