Abstract:
The aims of this research were to study factors associated to brushing behavior in parent for children aged 3-5 years, in Sra Tambon health promoting hospital, Chiangmuan District, Phayao Province. There were 94 parents in the study. Data was collected by questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics such as Eta correlation, Point biserial correlation, Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The result found that brushing behavior was at good behavior 52.10%, moderate behavior 39.40%, and low behavior 8.50%. Factors found correlated with brushing behavior were age (r = 0.289, p-value = 0.005), education (r = 0.307, p-value = 0.003), the average income per month (r = 0.279, p-value = 0.006), relationships (r = 0.360, p-value = 0.006), knowledge (r = 0.265, p-value = 0.005), Brushing skills (r = 0.373, p-value = 0.000), To get support and encouragement from various sources impulse behavior and exposure added fluoride (r = 0.505, p-value = 0.000). The variables found to significantly predict the parent brushing behavior were to get support and encouragement from various sources impulse behavior and exposure added fluoride (p-value = 0.000), sibling relationships (p-value = 0.004), education diploma (p-value = 0.007) and Brushing skills (p-value = 0.010).
