The purpose of this research is to explore the factors that enhance the persuasion of Thai people in applying for fitness' members. This study aims to identify the characteristics of these people in term of education, career, and income. Two hundred and fifty-six samples were collected in both questionnaires and interviews, which were classified into 2 groups: fitness members and non-fitness members. And, each particular group was divided into 4 categories according to their ages. The results are evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively. The latter part, which includes Frequency and Percentage, were processed by using SPSS. The results indicate that: 1. There were differences in education, career, and income between fitness members and non-fitness members. The study indicates that fitness members had their own businesses, higher income, and possessed a bachelors degree more than the non-¬fitness members. 2. Fitness members received any information from different sources. Mostly through interpersonal communication. On the other hand, non-fitness members obtained information from mass media such as television. 3. Fitness members had done some physical exercise less than 1 year whereas non-¬fitness members had been exercising their body for more than 4 years. 4. The factors that motivated Thai people to apply for fitness center membership were location, environment, atmosphere, and price.
