The research instruments were questionnaires including of personality, working ability, role diversity, flexibility of team and team effectiveness. The reliability of instruments, calculated by Cronbach Alpha Coefficient were 0.70 - 0.93. Statistical technique which used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, Pearson' s Product Moment Correlation and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The major finding were as follows : 1. Mean score of team effectiveness of professional nurses in intensive care units in all aspects was at a high level. (x = 3.83) 2. Role diversity, working ability and flexibility of teams were highly and positively correlated with nursing team effectiveness of professional nurses (r = 0.72, 0.77, and 0.78, respectively; p < .01). Conscientiousness, agreeableness, and emotional stability personalities were moderately and positively correlated with nursing team effectiveness (r = 0.33, 0.32, and 0.31, respectively; p < .01). Extraversion personality were low and positively correlated with nursing team effectiveness (r = 0.20; p < .05). There were no significant correlation between openness to experience personality and team effectiveness of professional nurses. 3.
