Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study the conditions and factors that make sustainable Rotary International until now and study the process of collaboration and encouragement of the members of Rotary International in the context of ASEAN. The method of this research was Qualitative Research. A study on the conditions and factors that affect both the inside and outside of the Organization in-depth and non-numerical or quantitative data. Approach to the acquisition of data through Non-participant observation, In-depth Documentary analysis. The key informants were the reader of Rotary International, coordinator in this organization and the participants who have the leadership. Although they take a position of leader in international Organization or in the past. For explain the behavior of successful organization. Therefore, the results from the analysis obtained from case study. Although there may be limitation in the public phenomena but they were the result from learning about in-depth
the process of successful organization.
The results of this research found that the conditions and factors that make sustainable
Rotary International until now have many components, but the strengthen components were
member community, public-minded, leadership and same ideology. This organization had established for a long time and had constitution and bylaw under the international standard. The process of leader recruitment with the same standard.
And the opportunity to help promote the development of Rotary International in the context of ASEAN is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between ASEAN Rotarians. In particular, the stability of the economy, to increase the new clubs and has CEO of Rotary International who come from ASEAN countries and organizational image building to ASEAN Community. The point that should be developed into the strengths or opportunities in the future are some members ignore the regulations of this organization, such as the lack of transparency in projects or activities, corruption and to promote the development of communication in the language to be able to cover all members in ASEAN countries.
Finally, part of the process of collaboration and encouragement of the members of Rotary International in the context of ASEAN found that the structure of organization consist of The Rotary organization, the principle of Rotary, foundation of Rota International, roles of the member club, activities, and follow-up the form of an annual conference. The reason of Rotary International has driven and could be sustainable organization until now because It also relies on the synthesis process as a major issuc for answering this research and suggestion as presented in this research methodology.
