Abstract:
The present study aimed to study the factors effecting English study in vocational ethnic students at Ctech Pacific College of Technology, Phayao in 3 factors: society and culture, students, and classroom management. This survey used both quantitative and qualitative methods to collect data by means of questionnaires and structured interview. 223 students and ethnic students were distributed the questionnaires, while 7 interviewees voluntarily participated in the interview. Data from the questionnaires were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, and the standard deviation. Responses from the interviews were transcribed content analysis. Finding showed 3 factors effecting English in high level. However, when each factor was considered, social and cultural factors indidicated more high level (4.34) than learner factors (3.85) whereas a classroom management factor was at 3.82."
