Organizational commitment and behavioral modeling for electricity saving predicting electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority.
Abstract:
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the level of the electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority, behavioral modeling for electricity saving and organizational commitment 2) to study the relationship between the organizational commitment and the electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority 3) to study the relationship between the behavioral modeling for electricity saving and the electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority 4) to predict electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority with organizational commitment and behavioral modeling for electricity saving. The samples used in the study were 400 employees in Provincial Electricity Authority and Metropolitan Electricity Authority head quarter. Data were collected by questionnaires. Statistics as frequency, average percentage and standard derivation, coefficient of Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results revealed that 1) the electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority were often, the organizational commitment was high level and the behavioral modeling for electricity saving were moderate level 2) the organizational commitment related to electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority with statistically significance at .01 level 3) behavioral modeling for electricity saving related to electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority with statistically significance at .01 level 4) behavioral modeling for electricity saving in the facet of production process, organizational commitment in the facet of affective commitment and behavioral modeling for electricity saving in the facet of attention process accounted for 38.60% of the variance in electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees. For equation, it was assigned as follows: electricity saving behavior of state enterprise employees in Electricity Authority = .690 + (behavioral modeling for electricity saving in the facet of production process)+ .105 (organizational commitment in the facet of affective commitment) + .101 (behavioral modeling for electricity saving in the facet of attention process).
