Abstract:
The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the levels of emotional intelligence, organizational support and work life balance of employees; 2) to study the relationships between emotional intelligence and work life balance of employees; 3) to study the relationships between organizational support and work life balance of employees; and 4) to predicts work life balance of employees with emotional intelligence and organizational support. The research sample comprised of 330 employees in 2 factories which produced hot rolled and cold rolled. Questionnaires were used for data collection. The statistics employed for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of this research indicated that: 1) The overall emotional intelligence, organizational support and work life balance were at high level 2) The emotional intelligence : self-regulation, motivation and empathy positively correlated with work life balance of employees at a statistically significant level of .01; and 3) The organizational support positively correlated with work life balance of employees at a statistically significant level of .01; and 4) The emotional intelligence : motivation, empathy and organizational support together could predict 15.3 percent for work life balance of employees.
