The development of an evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach in colleges under office of the vocational education commission.
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to 1) develop and analyze the efficiency of an evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach in colleges under Office of the Vocational Education Commission; 2) develop and analyze a training course curriculum using the evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach implemented in colleges under Office of the Vocational Education Commission; and 3) evaluate the operations according to the evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach in colleges under Office of the Vocational Education Commission. The research informants were experts, deputy directors, heads of Curriculum and Instruction Section, and heads of Assessment and Evaluation in vocational colleges selected by the required criteria. The statistics used in the study were median, interquartile range, mean, and standard deviation.
The research results revealed that
1. Regarding the development and analysis of the efficiency of an evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach in colleges under Office of the Vocational Education Commission, it was found that there were 4 steps : Taking stock (T), Setting goals (S), Developing strategies (Ds), and Documenting progress (Dp). The efficiency of the model was appropriate and possible to be implemented in colleges at the highest level. The median was at the highest level and the interquartile range indicated that the opinions of experts were consistent. The efficiency of model was that utility, feasibility, property and accuracy were at the highest level. The operations with the evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach were satisfied at the high level.
2. According to the development and study of a training course program using the evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach implemented in colleges under Office of the Vocational Education Commission, it was found that the E1/E2 efficiency of the training program was at 82.41/89.86 and the appropriateness of the program was at the highest level.
3. For the evaluation of the operations according to the evaluation model of short course curriculum based on empowerment evaluation approach in colleges under Office of the Vocational Education Commission, it was found that the operations were mostly at the highest level.
