Abstract:
The objectives of this study were 1) to study related factors to living by sufficiency economy of teachers in phuphayol Schools under Office of Sakhonnakhon Educational Area Office 1; 2) to compare the living by sufficiency economy of teachers classified by gender, working experience, education level, and school size, and 3) to study the relationships between organization factors affected motivation factors and on the living by sufficiency economy. The samples for this study were 124 teachers in Phuphayol schools under the Office of Sakhonnakhon Educational Area Office 1, acquired by stratified random sampling. The instrument used in the study was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with an alpha reliability of 0.94. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearsons Correlation Coefficient.
The findings were as follows:
1. The living by sufficiency economy of teachers in the schools in every aspect was at a high level; in priority order of aspects: work and problem-solving, self-reliance, seeking knowledge for work, and self development and quality of life.
2. The comparisons of the living by sufficiency economy of teachers in the schools revealed as follows.
2.1 Female teachers implemented the living by sufficiency economy in the work and problem-solving aspect significantly higher than male teachers at .05 level; other aspects were not implemented differently.
2.2 Teachers having less than 10 years of working experience and those having more than 10 years of working experience did not implemented the living by sufficiency economy in every aspect differently.
2.3 Teachers having a Bachelor degree and those having higher than Bachelor degree did not implemented the living by sufficiency economy in every aspect differently.
2.4 Teachers working in different school size implemented the living by sufficiency economy in every aspect significantly different at .05 levels. The teachers in large-sized and medium-sized schools implemented the aspects of self-reliance, work and problem-solving, and self development and quality of life, significantly higher than those in small-sized schools. The teachers in large-sized schools implemented the 3 aforementioned aspects significantly higher than those in medium-sized schools. The teachers in large-sized schools implemented the seeking knowledge for work aspect significantly higher than those in medium-sized and small-sized schools.
3. The organization factors and motivation factors had moderate positive relationships with the living by sufficiency economy of the teachers in Phuphayol schools under the Office of Sakhonnakhon Educational Area Office 1
