Participation of Administrators in Promoting Local Wisdom Usage in Learning and Teaching in Small Size Primary Schools Under Kanchanaburi Primayr Educational Area Office 3
Abstract:
The aims of this research were to study and compare the participation of administrators in promoting local wisdom usage in learning and teaching in small-sized primary schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, as perceived by primary school teachers. Samples included 89 school teachers from 22 small-sized primary schools. The tool used to collect data was a 5-scale rating questionnaire which had a reliability of 0.96. The data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, and Standard Deviation.
The results of the research were as follows:
1. The participation of administrators in promoting local wisdom usage in learning and teaching in the small-sized primary schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 was at a high level both in overall and each aspect, as follows: folk opinions beliefs, the arts and culture, tradition and customs, the occupations in locality, and the employing villagers technology, respectively.
2. The state and problem solution of the participation of administrators in promoting the local knowledge used for learning and teaching in the small-sized primary schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 was found that the administrators should plan the structure, the curriculum, and invite guest speakers
