Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the learning environment based on constructionism to enhance instructional management of elementary schools, and to demonstrate the learning environment in the learning activity room based on constructionism to enhance instructional management of elementary schools. The sample consisted of nineteen experts.The methodology used were the Delphi technique. The data were collected by survey instrument and three rounds of Delphi instruments regarding five physical environment factors should include the feature and size of the room, instructional media, durable articles, electrical systems and air conditioning systems and space management. The results indicated that1. According to analyze of theory, research and interview the experts from managing classroom based on constructionism idea, it was found that learning activity based on constructionism contains 4 steps: 1. Self-searching information and knowledge regarding the issue 2. Exchanging knowledge gain within the research group 3. Experimenting and real practicing 4. Presenting the research result as well as exchanging ideas. The study shows that the most of the classrooms which are set up based on constructionism idea are in square shape, tiled floor, cement wall. Teacher provides space for doing activity, presentation board, research, learning materials and area for teacher giving advice to students. Whiteboard, blackboard, tables and chairs are in fixed pattern. Teaching-learning activities are mostly conducted in groups. Activity encourages learners to link their ideas by using ideas mapping, self-researching, as well as exchanging knowledge and practicing basic subjects.2. According to the research using Dephi technique, the experts views their ideas accordingly to 149 articles out of 188 articles, therefore, it can be summarized that the classroom floor is of smooth surface, made from vanished wood, 9 x 12 meter width and long. The room is divided into 7 parts: activity, research, presentation and exchange ideas, group meeting, advisor corner, work presentation and information board, equipment storing area. A computer used in the classroom is all in one PC connected through wireless internet (hard-drive assembled in screen), proportion between students and computers is 5:1. Teaching materials are whiteboard, television, genius board, round-Japanese-styles tables.
