Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study the preferable qualifications according to the 5 aspects of preferable graduate of IT managers and to compare the preferable qualification of IT managers categorized by the characteristics of the enterprises. The data was collected from 97 enterprises in Ayutthaya province as the sample by questionnaires. The statistical analysis tools used for the quantitative research were descriptive statistics, T-test, and One - way ANOVA. The results of the analysis showed that most enterprises require IT managers with the qualifications of any gender and status, aged between 30-35 years old, undergraduate degree, major in Computer Information Systems, with over 5 years of work-experience, and high English communication skills. A high level of all the 5 aspects of preferable graduate was required for qualification of IT managers. The enterprises with a difference in all characteristics did not exhibit concomitant differences in the preferred qualification of IT manager. In addition, the enterprises look for IT managers that have ability to use a specific applications such as SAP, ERP, MS SQL, AutoCAD, and Oracle, ability to analyze and design a system, think proactively, poses variety knowledge and ability to apply them.
