Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the level of importance of happiness of employees at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited, 2) to study the level of importance of the employee quality of work life at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited, 3) to compare the differences of employee quality of work life at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited classified by personal factors including gender, age, marital status, income, position and work experience, and 4) to study the relationship between the elements of happy workplace and the employee quality of work life at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited. The population comprised 289 employees, and the sample consisted of 168 employees at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited with a reliability of 0.95. Multi-stage sampling was used as the sampling method. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.966. The statistics used for the data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, F-test, and Pearsons product moment correlation coefficient. The means of Fisher test was used to compare the differences of pairs.The research findings were as follows :1. Overall, the level of importance of the employees happiness at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited was at a moderate level ( = 3.26, S.D. = 0.49). When Considered in each aspect, it was found that the aspect of morale was at the highest level ( = 3.84, S.D. = 0.69). However, the aspect of happy society ( = 3.69, S.D. = 0.66), the aspect of happy heart ( = 3.54, S.D. = 0.59), and the aspect of happy family ( = 3.53, S.D. = 0.78) were at a moderate level respectively.2. The level of importance of the employees quality of work life at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited overall was at a moderate level ( = 3.26, S.D. = 0.58). When considered in each aspect, it was found that the aspect of work-life balance was at the highest level ( = 3.90, S.D. = 0.63). However, the aspect of safety and healthyworkplace ( = 3.35, S.D. = 0.72), the aspect of social relevance ( = 3.29, S.D. = 0.72), and the aspect of job regulations ( = 3.26, S.D. = 0.74) were at a moderate levelrespectively.3. Comparison of the personal factors of gender, age, marital status, position and work experience with the level of importance of work life quality at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited found no significant differences. However, the personal factor of income showed a significant difference at a level of 0.05. 4. The relationship between elements of the happy workplace and the employees quality of work life at Mizuno Plastic Company Limited in overall was at the high level (rxy = 0.78) at a level of significance 0.05. When considered in each aspect, it was found that the aspect of relaxation was at the highest level (rxy = 0.71). However, the aspect of happy heart (rxy = 0.67), and the aspect of happy society (rxy = 0.65) were at a moderate level respectively.
