State and Problems of Using Information Technology in Management of Academic Administration in Primary Schools under the Office of Roi Et Educational Service Area 3
Abstract:
The purposes of this study were ; 1) to study states and problems of using information technology in management of academic administration in primary schools under the office of Roi Et Educational Service Area 3 ; 2) to compare states and problems of using information technology in management of academic administration in primary schools under the office of Roi Et Educational Service Area 3, divided by situations and sizes of schools ; 3) to study the guidelines for the development of information technology in management of academic administration in the schools. The samples in this study were 424 administrators and teachers, 212 administrators and 212 teachers. The instruments were questionnaires which had IOC from .80 to 1.00, and had a confidence level at .96, and interview forms. Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation and F-test were used in the data analysis procedure. The findings of this study were;
1. States of using information technology in management of academic administration in primary schools under the office of Roi Et Educational Service Area 3 were in the average level. The mean level of each state was sorted by mean level from high to low as follow ; the state of academic administration, the state of general administration, the state of administration budget, and the state of human resource management. The mean level of problems found were within the average, each factor was sorted by mean level from high to low as follow; academic administration, general administration, administration budget, and human resource management.
2. The opinion of administrators and teachers on using information technology in primary schools academic administration management under the office of Roi Et Educational Service Area 3 was no different. There were two different opinions between administrators and teachers on problems of using information technology, the factor of administration budget and the factor of general administration.
3. States and problems of using information technology in management of academic administration in primary schools under the office of Roi Et Educational Service Area 3 considered by sizes of schools had no different.
4. The guidelines for the development of information technology in management of academic administration were divided into four factors : 1) academic administration, using information technology in teaching and creating teaching materials ; 2) human resource management, hire staff who have knowledge in information technology to work in schools and instruct teachers in information technology ; 3) administration budget, provide budget for computers; 4) general administration, instruct staff in using information technology in management of academic administration in schools.
