Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study the opinions of job characteristics, the level of organizational commitment of the military officers,
to compare the level of organizational commitment of the military officers with
their personal factors and to study the relationship between the opinions of job characteristics and the level of organizational commitment of the military officers. The sample consisted of 138 military officers in the 3rd Infantry Battalion 16th Infantry Regiment. The research instrument was a questionnaire including 3 aspects which were individual characteristic, job characteristic and organizational commitment.
The frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test One-Way ANOVA and Pearsons product moment correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data.
The research results showed that the organizational commitment of the military officers in the 3rd Infantry Battalion 16th Infantry Regiment was in the medium level. The hypothesis testing revealed that individual characteristics including age, educational level, salary, working period and rank were different in their organizational commitment and job characteristics were related to organizational commitment.
