Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the factors and performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrators at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam ; 2) to select factors that affect performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrators at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam ; and 3 ) to build the performance efficiency predicting equations of lower secondary school administrator at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. All data were collected from 350 participants, including; 50 school administrators, 50 vice school administrators and 250 teachers. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a 5-point rating scale. The reliability; Cronbachs coefficient alpha of questionnaire part 2, factors affecting performance efficiency of administrations, was 0.95 and questionnaire part 3, efficiency of administrations was 0.92. Statistics employed for data analysis was percentage, mean and standard deviation. The statistics used for hypothesis testing was stepwise multiple regression.
The research findings were as following:
1. A study of factors affecting performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrators at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, it was found that as an overall and individual aspect of factors were rated at a high level. The factor with the highest mean was the competency of administrators while the factor with the minimum mean was the school-based management (SBM).
2. The performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrators at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, it was found that as an overall and individual aspect were rated at a high level. The highest mean is the aspect of personnel management and the lowest mean is the aspect of budget management.
3. Selection of factors affecting the performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrators at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, results of the analysis using stepwise multiple regression showed factors that affected the performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrators at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The best to the least affected factors were academic leadership ("X" _"3" ), human relations ("X" _"4" ) competency of administrators ("X" _"2" ) and school Based Management (SBM) ("X" _"1" ), with a multiple correlation coefficient at .802. However, all factors could affected the prediction coefficients to increase statistically significant at .01 level. These factors could mutually explain the variance of performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrator at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for 64.3 percent.
4. Regression equations predicting the performance efficiency of lower secondary school administrators at Guangxi Province in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam could be written as follows.
