Abstract:
This research aimed to study and to compare the state of knowledge management in schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 27. The sampling group consisted of 448 administrators and teachers in schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 27 using a Krejcie and Morgan table and Simple random sampling. The research instrument employed for collecting data was a questionnaire. The statistics used in analyzing the data were percentage, means, standard deviation and Independent Sample t-test.
The research findings revealed as follows: 1. The state of knowledge management in schools perceived by administrators and teachers, as a whole, was at a moderate level. When considering in each aspect; the knowledge sharing aspect was at the highest level, followed by knowledge assets aspect and knowledge vision aspect which were at a moderate level.
2. The comparison of the state of knowledge management in schools perceived by administrators and teachers was significantly different at .01 level in each category of gender, age, education levels, and job experiences. It was demonstrated that females had a higher level of knowledge management in schools than men, those who were over the age of 40 had a higher level of knowledge management in schools than those who were under the age of 40, those who attain master degree or over master degree had a higher level of knowledge management in schools than those who attain under master degree, and those who experienced over 15 years also had a higher level of knowledge management in schools than those who experienced less 15 years, while there were no difference when considering in their positions.
