Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study and to compare the academic leadership of primary school administrators in Roi Et province. The sample consisted of 263 school administrators, selected by Krejcie and Morgan Table and random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire including 5 aspects which were the development of school mission, the development of curriculum, teaching management, the development of school environment and measurement and evaluation. The statistics used were mean, standard deviation and t-test.
The findings indicated that the overall academic leadership of primary school administrators in Roi Et province were at a medium level. When individual aspect was considered, the results revealed that the development of school mission, the development of curriculum and teaching management aspects were at a medium level while the development of school environment and measurement and evaluation aspects were at a low level. The comparison of academic leadership of primary school administrators classified by age and educational level was statistically significant at the .01 level; however, there was no difference as classified by work experience.
